The unique, near-black hue and dense, stone-like texture are completely natural, created by the centuries-long interaction between the wood’s tannins and the minerals in the bog.

The natural, rugged bark left at the top forms a majestic crown, contrasting beautifully with the smooth, serene face carved below. With his peaceful, closed eyes, this spirit looks as though he has just woken from a millennia-long slumber.
